What to check before installing
A snapshot is a testing release, not an automatic recommendation to update your main world. Client compatibility does not establish compatibility with your server, mod loader or plugins. Release notes and a version manifest serve different purposes: notes describe changes, while a manifest confirms the version and publication date.

- Test on a separate copy of the world.
- Check Java, plugin, mod and data-pack requirements.
- Keep a backup from before the first launch; replacing the JAR alone does not reverse world changes.
